Irene Homes
Irene Homes' is a prestigious project of Cochin Community Welfare Society. The General Body of the Society unanimously decided to start a Retirement Home for elderly people on payment basis and construction of a multi-storeyed building at Puthencruz was started in 2012 at Mar Chrisostem Mount. It was also decided that the income generated from Irene Homes shall be used for helping poor and needy. The construction of the building was completed in August 2017 and Irene Homes was inaugurated by the then Metropolitan Most Dr. Rev. Joseph Mar Thoma on 31.8.2017.
We pray that Youths of our parish should come forward to take up more responsibilities in the functioning of Irene Homes. We have to endure new projects for the uplift of the poor, disabled and the vulnerable section of the society.
